Eating in Siwa
The city of Siwa is good for eating, although service is slow, but its humble restaurants offer a fairly wide range of dishes, including Indian. Usually Siwa Dates are the best in Egypt, and perhaps the whole world. Apart from regular dates, they are also sold stuffed with almonds and chocolate. Shops specializing in dates are located around Market Square, and prices range from around 7 to 8 LE for a 500 gram box.
Restaurants in Siwa: The Restaurants in the city of Siwa are normally simple, but usually very charming. There are plenty to chose from, but I noticed that the old hang-out, Abdu, is still the most popular place.
